As an outdoor adventure blogger who has traversed the Swiss Alps, I recently had the pleasure of staying at Bern Youth Hostel over the Christmas holidays. Located just a short walk from the Swiss Parliament and the Aare River, this hostel offers a perfect blend of convenience and tranquility.The room was spacious and modern, with a key card granting access to both the room and locker - a convenient feature for travelers. The hostel's central location allowed us to easily explore the city on foot, including the nearby Christmas market. The common facilities, including a lounge and shared pantry, were well-maintained and provided a comfortable space to relax after a day of exploring. The option to reserve a three-course dinner at the on-site kitchen was tempting, although we didn't have the chance to try it.One of the highlights of our stay was the amazing breakfast spread, which catered to various dietary preferences including vegan options. The hostel's proximity to the train station and the picturesque river added to its charm, making it an ideal base for travelers looking to immerse themselves in the beauty of Bern.In conclusion, Bern Youth Hostel is a hidden gem in the heart of Bern, offering modern amenities, friendly staff, and a convenient location for exploring the city. Whether you're a solo traveler or visiting with friends, this hostel provides a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for a memorable Alpine experience.
